We did it! Yume Africa is proud to announce the results of our 2022-23 back-to-school campaign! Together, we helped 73 kids in rural areas of West Cameroon go to school this September. 51 kids in need among internally displaced (IDP) families and 22 underprivileged children in rural areas of West Cameroon had their school fees for the entire year paid.
This is our second-year campaign. This year, our campaign benefited 37 girls and 36 boys, with 33 students in elementary school and 40 students in middle and high school.
With your generous donations, we were able to pay for their school fees and distributed 58 books, 17 backpacks, and 250 notebooks.
Without your continuous support, these students would not have been able to attend school this year, so we want to extend a major THANK YOU to all our donors and supporters!
Each kid has a unique story and circumstances. Ramatou, Favour, Prince, Joseph, Success and so many others cannot go to school without support. Some of them had to flee a conflicting zone with or without their parents, others are orphans, while others have not been able to go to school for 2 or 3 years due to a lack of resources or school closures in their areas. Helping these kids also means helping their parents.
Education changes lives and since 2021, Yume Africa has assisted displaced and children in need in Cameroon to receive an education. Education opens the doors to countless opportunities. Please join us in supporting the next generation of leaders and follow us on our journey by donating to our cause and by following us on LinkedIn and Instagram.
